conversation between student and teacher(18+)
A first-grade teacher, Ms Neelam (Age 28) was having trouble with one of her students. The teacher asked,"Boy, what is your problem?"
Boy answered, "I'm too smart for the first-grade. My sister is in the third-grade and I'm smarter than she is! I think I should be in the third-grade too!"
Ms Neelam had enough. She took Boy. to the principal's office. While Boy. waited in the outer office, the teacher explained to the principal what the situation was. The principal told Ms Neelam he would give the boy a test and if he failed to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the first-grade and behave. She agreed.
Boy. was brought in and the conditions were explained to him and he agreed to take the test.
Principal: "What is 3 x 3?"
Boy.: "9".
Principal: "What is 6 x 6?"
Boy.: "36".
And so it went with every question the principal thought a third-grade should know. The principal looks at Ms Neelam and tells her, "I think Boy can go to the third-grade."
Ms Neelam says to the principal, "I have some of my own questions.
Can I ask him ?" The principal and Boy both agreed.
Ms Neelam asks, "What does a cow have four of that I have only two of?
Boy., after a moment "Legs."
Ms Nee lam: "What is in your pants that you have but I do not have?"
Boy.: "Pockets."
Ms Neelam: What starts with a C and ends with a T, is hairy, oval, delicious and contains thin whitish liquid?
Boy.: Coconut
Ms Neelam: What goes in hard and pink then comes out soft And sticky? The principal's eyes open really wide and before he could stop the answer, Boy. was taking charge.
Boy.: Bubblegum
Ms Neelam: What does a man do standing up, a woman does sitting down and a dog does on three legs? The principal's eyes open really wide and before he could stop the answer...
Boy.: Shake hands
Ms Neelam: Now I will ask some "Who am I" sort of questions, okay?
Boy.: Yep.
Ms Neelam: You stick your poles inside me. You tie me down to get me up. I get wet before you do.
Boy.: Tent
Ms Neelam: A finger goes in me. You fiddle with me when you're bored. The best man always has me first. The Principal was looking restless, a bit tense and took one large Patiala Vodka peg.
Boy.: Wedding Ring
Ms Neelam: I come in many sizes. When I'm not well, I drip. When you blow me, you feel good.
Boy.: Nose
Ms Neelam: I have a stiff shaft. My tip penetrates. I come with a quiver.
Boy.: Arrow
Ms Neelam: What word starts with a 'F' and ends in 'K' that means lot of heat and excitement?
Boy.: Firetruck
Ms Neelam: What word starts with a 'F' and ends in 'K' & if u dont get it u have to use your hand.
Boy.: Fork
Ms Neelam: What is it that all men have one of it's longer on some men than on others, the pope doesn't use his and a man gives it to his wife after they're married?
Boy.: SURNAME
Ms Neelam: What part of the man has no bone but has muscles, has lots of veins, like pumping, & is responsible for making love ?
Boy.: HEART.
The principal breathed a sigh of relief and said to the teacher,
"Send this Boy to IIM Ahmedabad, even I got the last ten questions wrong myself!!
Boy answered, "I'm too smart for the first-grade. My sister is in the third-grade and I'm smarter than she is! I think I should be in the third-grade too!"

is avatar really king of box office....?
Movies are released very differently today then they were in 1939 when "Gone With the Wind" premiered. The film showed originally in 156 theaters in the U.S. "Avatar" premiered on 3,452 screens. "Gone With the Wind" was re-released in 1947, 1954 and 1961. In 1967 it was shown in 70 mm. With as many as 600 films being released per year, these days few films get a second shot in theaters.
But most of the films at the top are from at least 30 years ago. "the sound of music" ranks third with an adjusted $1.05 billion take. "E.T" is just behind with $1.04 billion.
Cameron's "Titanic" ranks sixth (just behind "the ten commandments") with an adjusted $943 million take in the U.S.
With no film on the near horizon poised to challenge "Avatar"'s dominance, the film is sure to continue to mint money. But it's got a way's to go to catch up with a classic like "Gone With The Wind."

The film Avatar has overtaken Titanic to become the highest grossing of all time
It's official: Avatar is the highest-grossing movie ever, steaming past the worldwide box-office record of Titanic's $1.84 billion US on Monday, with tallies coming in at $1.86 billion. But the Oscar question remains: Can James Cameron's Avatar surpass his Titanic when the nominations are announced Feb. 2?
The answer is: No, Cameron won't be re-crowned king of that world.
In 1998, Titanic tied All About Eve's record with 14 nods, and ended up with 11 Academy Awards, equalling another record set by Ben-Hur (later joined by The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King).
But Avatar just doesn't have the nomination momentum to come close in 2010.
Cameron's Titanic picked up two acting nods for best actress (Kate Winslet) and supporting actress (Gloria Stuart), but the filmmaker's latest groundbreaking sci-fiadventure is expected to be shut out in the acting department.
While Sam Worthington is solid as the ex-Marine who volunteers to infiltrate the alien Na'vi planet as a look-a-like avatar, it's unlikely he'll pick up a best actor nod in a competitive category.
Sigourney Weaver earned a surprise best actress Oscar nod for her Ripley character in Cameron's Aliens, but her scientist in Avatar doesn't do much to warrant a supporting actress nomination.
And there's been a big Oscar push for Zoe Saldana, who plays the Na'vi princess. But the Academy isn't ready to nominate somebody for a digital portrayal, performance capture or otherwise.
Naturally, Cameron disagrees with the assessments, pointing out that the actors' extra effort focused on their talents, not their ability to cope with the special-effects demands and motion-capture procedures.
"Sam [Worthington] convinced me right away he could do the demanding job," notes Cameron.
"There's something steely and tough about him, but he showed that he had a great vulnerability and was able to bare his soul."
His friend, Weaver, gets just as much praise. "She was always there to give me what I wanted," he says. "She was trying to play the anti-Ripley. That was her idea and I think it worked out well."
Saldana, says Cameron, "was amazing in almost every way." But probably not amazing enough for Academy voters.
Avatar's also weak, where Titanic was strong, in the music, makeup and costume categories. In the end, that should give Avatar nine or 10 Oscar nods, mostly in the technical categories, but definitely a favourite in both best picture and director departments previously won by Titanic and "the king of the world."
Who can forget Cameron's reference on Oscar night? Cameron would like to. He regrets that Titanic acceptance speech for best director when he crowed, "I'm king of the world." It was a reference line from Leonardo DiCaprio's character in the film, but most took it as a brash boast.
It might affect his chances for best picture and best director, if it's close.
Yet Avatar has earned Cameron some of the best reviews of his career, while Titanic received a negative critical response when it was launched in 1997.
" Titanic was a target right from the start of production," recalls Cameron. "I was constantly defending it."
Meanwhile, there's one record Avatar earned with the help of inflation and ambition. Avatar became the most expensive movie ever made, at more than $300 million US. For its time, Cameron's Titanic was the record-holder at $200 million.
All's well that ends well at the box office, however, in any era.
And things couldn't be better for Avatar. In North America, Avatar as been No. 1 at the box office for six consecutive weeks.
Some have already called the Avatar narrative a copy of the both the classic Pocahontas story and the FernGully animated flick, with a dash of Kevin Costner's Dances With Wolves thrown in for good measure.
But Cameron says Avatar was inspired by turn-of-the-20th-century sci-fistories.
Indeed, he wrote the original Avatar treatment back in 1994, mostly inspired by Edgar Rice Burroughs's John Carter of Mars series.
And despite the groundbreaking special effects that were developed over the years, he continued using the straightforward story premise as his blueprint.
And it paid off, big time. "I have mainstream sensibilities," Cameron says.
"So I stayed with the mainstream approach."
avatar rocks again in usa too..........

a sleeper hit ?
from the lyrics "you make my dreams come true" shows that the director dreams got true in the form of 5oo days of summer which is relased in year 2009 by marc webb .The film is presented in a nonlinear narrative, as it jumps from various days within the 500-day span of Tom and Summer's relationship; this summary is a linear version of the events of the film.which is inspired by real story.
Director Marc Webb has described the film as more of a "coming of age" story as opposed to a "rom-com". He stated, "We arrive at a different conclusion, for one thing. Plus, most romantic comedies are more loyal to a formula than to emotional truth. It's about happiness, and learning that you'll find it within yourself, rather than in the big blue eyes of the girl in the cubicle down the hall. I wanted to make an unsentimental movie and an uncynical movie. In my mind, I wanted it to be something you could dance to. That's why we put a parenthesis in the title - it's like a pop song in movie form. It's not a big film. It's not about war or poverty. It's about 500 days in a young guy's relationship, but it's no less deserving of scrutiny. When your heart is first broken, it consumes you. And it's an emotion I wanted to make a movie about, before I forgot how it felt".Webb also stated that Deschanel's character, Summer, is based on the stereotype of a manic pixie dream girl; "Yes, Summer has elements of the manic pixie dream girl - she is an immature view of a woman. She's Tom's view of a woman. He doesn't see her complexity and the consequence for him is heartbreak. In Tom's eyes, Summer is perfection, but perfection has no depth. Summer's not a girl, she's a phase.Joseph Gordon-Levitt explained that he was drawn to the role Tom because of his relatability to the character. "I've had my heart broken before. Truly, truly broken. But when I look back at me in my heartbroken phase, it's pretty hilarious, because it felt so much more extreme than it really was. One of the things I love about (500) Days of Summer is that it doesn't make light of what we go through in romances, but it is honest about it and shows it for what it is, which is often profoundly funny".

some facts bout "DEV D" movie from old version to newr version by abhijit bahadur
When Saratchandra Chatterjee the Bengali novelist (15 September 1876 – 16 January 1938) wrote the novel Devdas in 1901 (published in 1917) little did he know that 108 years later it would morph into DevD. That is the hallmark of a great story. Well this one is written by Anurag Kashyap who wrote the story for Satya (’98) and some fab dialog for movies like Guru, Yuva, Honeymoon Travels, Shool etc. I loved Shool because even Ravina Tandon could act in that film!
The story of Devdas has become like a format. Rich boy loves poor girl next door but is unsure of himself. Girl marries someone else. Boy meets prosti… errrr Commercial Sex Worker and yet pines for first love while doing a brisk jog on the eight lane highway with big bold signs showing the exits to drugs, booze and Elvis Presley like end. Check out some wild photographic effects depicting what goes on in the mind of a drugged and boozed out Abhay Deol which were shot using a camera that Danny Boyle of Slumdog Millionaire fame loaned to Anurag.
There have been ten versions of Devdas made. The first one in 1928. The second version made in 1935 in Bengali had the cinematic legend Pramathesh Barua playing Devdas. Devdas ver 3 was made in Hindi with KL Saigal playing Devdas and Pramathesh Barua as the director in 1936. The Tamil and Telugu version of Devdas/ Devdasu was in 1953 by director Vedantam Raghavaiah. Bimal Roy directed Devdas in 1955 – that was version 6. That had Dilip Kumar playing Devdas and pining for Vyjayantimala (Paro) and Suchitra Sen (Chandramukhi) with some haunting music by Sachin Dev Burman. It is my favorite version – not that I have watched any other version except the one by Shah Rukh made in 2002 (ver 9) - the same year that saw another version made in Bengali ver 10. Vijaya Nirmal directed another Telugu version of Devdas in 1974. The eighth version in 1979 was again made in Bengali starring Soumitra Chatterjee as Devdas and Sumitra as Paro while Chandramukhi was Supriya. Uttam Kumar played Chunnilal in that film.
What is my take on DevD? This is Circa 2009 and it is Abhay Deol playing the title character. This cousin of Sunny and Bobby Deol is thankfully not in the shallow end of the acting gene pool. Check out Manorama Six Feet Under and Oye Lucky Lucky Oye and you will start to take this Deol seriously. The two women who torment DevD are Mahie Gill and Kalki Koechlin – both are strong actresses. Going forward Kalki Koechlin may face a challenge which has not faced as a model. Kalki with her French looks may find that the only roles that Bollywood has to offer are those that stereotype her as a firangi gal. Look at what happened to Tom Alter despite his being such a brilliant actor. Kalki has the Angelina Jolie pout. Honest.
But the highlight of the film is clearly the trendsetting song Emosanal Atyachar (Emotional Torment) sung by Rangeela and Rasila Bandmaster. The brass band used in the film is actually Harish Band of Chandigarh with the hilarious “Patna Ke Presley” duo performing the actions to go with it on screen. The song is hit from the word go. Just watch Bollywood dish out more such songs in future where people are bold enough to not feel apologetic about their accents. The song has become quite a rage with fan clubs on many social networking sites. Music is used effortlessly to enhance the mood and to build transitions in the story. Check out the spontaneous dancing that Mahie Gill breaks into much to the horror of her husband.
Look at DevD as another film where the characters have the same names as in the Devdas story. That is where the similarity ends. It is not a modern interpretation of the Saratchandra story – maybe just a tad bit inspired by it. DevD is a brilliant black satire. The contemporary events from the BMW driver mowing down people on the pavement to the MMS Clip scandal – it is all there. Both the female leads are as real and in your face as can be. The language used is complete with four letter words as well as seven letter cuss words for those who are counting. The camerawork is stunning.
Give young talents a chance to shine on stage
“I can’t imagine that allowing more performances by youthful artists would upset veterans since all of them can easily perform their plays and have their following,” he told the Tehran Times on Tuesday.
His play “The Paper House”, which concerns the destructive social consequences of war, went on stage at the Mehr Hall of Tehran’s Art Bureau during 28th Fajr International Theater Festival on Tuesday.
Emerging artists face several problems including restrictions imposed by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance on performances as well as financial difficulties which could be solved by an increased level of support from the private sector or even the state, he mentioned.
The play from the western city of Kermanshah went on stage at the Select Regional Theater during the festival.
“The bitter fact is that plays from cities other than the capital do not have the privilege of participating in the competition section. Why shouldn’t artists from other cities be able to perform their works in the competition section to be seen by a larger audience?” he lamented.
In Tehran, the theatrical arts face many problems but in other cities, there are even more. No encouragement exists for troupes in those places and self-motivation is the sole reason behind any successes, he said.
“Unfortunately, there are no facilities in other cities for rehearsals or performances,” he said.
While salaries are not high in Tehran, there is a huge gap between them and the wages paid in outlying cities, he added.
Officials can help plays from other cities by introducing them at the festival so that they can continue their work in Tehran or with other professional troupes, he said.
“One of our main concerns is to have public performances in Tehran,” Borumand said.
Troupes from other cities do not enjoy the right to have stands at the Iranian Theater Market.
“Many people prefer to see well-known plays by renowned artists and this is not their fault. It is the responsibility of the media to introduce new works to people,” Borumand added.
The play narrates the story of a couple in a war-torn border city who question themselves about the meaning of “life” on the 30th anniversary of their marriage and discover that their life is devoid of meaning.
“I do believe that the despotic nature of war always exists. People always suffer in wars, which are imposed by political powers upon them,” he explained about his motivation for choosing the drama.
“I lived in Kermanshah near the Iraq border during the Iran-Iraq war and I have some bitter memories of those days when I was a child,” he said.
Borumand went on to say that he uses paradox during the performance and mixes the bitter truth of war with fantasy to connect with audience.
“‘Theater for all’ is a motto that I hope becomes a reality some day. I do my best in my play to attract casual audiences and theatergoers alike,” Borumand added.
The play, warmly welcomed by audiences, attracts them by the caricature-like narration of the bitter experience of war as well as the fantastic performances by the actors.
With the motto of “Theater for All”, the 28th Fajr International Theater Festival is currently underway at Tehran halls and will continue until January 31.
